Acoustic meshes from GKD are used in the aviation and automotive industry.

Energy is extracted from the sound waves via the effect of the Helmholtz resonator. This effect is used for nacelles. Significant noise reduction is achieved through a combination of honeycomb and wire meshes, modified specially for the specific application. GKD is a qualified supplier for all standard specifications in the aviation industry. The same applications are also found in the automotive industry in connection with thermal shielding for exhaust systems.
For acoustic applications, we produce stainless steel meshes with precisely specified Rayl values and laser-cut components for direct installation in higher assemblies.
