Screening and filtration segments

Screening and filter segments are used in vertical disc filters. These filters are then used for the filtration of aqueous media, particularly when large volumes need to be filtered.

Screening and filter segments from GKD are the heart of filter systems. Frame constructions and completely screened filter elements can be supplied as spare parts or OEM products. Our activities focus in particular on processing ultrafine filter media, such as optimized plain dutch weave (ODW). The processing technologies have been developed in such a way that the mesh elements are largely protected against fatique stress.

Beside fitting screens to flat, 2-dimensional frames, 3-dimensional elements such as cylinders or cylinder segments are also fitted with the finest optimized plain dutch weave (ODW).
