Process belts for nonwoven bonding processes
Bonding
Process belts from GKD are an important component in thermal bonding processes in the nonwoven industry.
In the nonwoven industry, the loosely formatted fibrous web needs to be bonded following the nonwoven forming process. This nonwoven bonding is often performed in single-belt or double-belt ovens with hot air using the vacuum suction principle with the option to reverse the flow direction. The web is then cooled/set in a cooling zone, also using the vacuum suction principle. GKD supplies a wide range of temperature-resistant fabric belt types for this process – made of bronze, steel, stainless steel, PPS, PEEK or as DUOFIL® belts with combined PPS/steel, PEEK/steel, PPS/stainless steel and PEEK/stainless steel. The seam design is a flat and easily closable loop pin seam – matched to the corresponding mesh type and respective process. The belt edges receive a smooth and stable edge welding, designed for high production speeds.
